Panel: Role of Religion in the 2016 Run for the White House

The U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress is putting on an event this Wednesday that many of us would be highly interested in. Particularly if you are interested in religion, especially how it affects political and social movements.

The U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress is hosting a panel discussing the role of religion in the 2016 Presidential Election. Distinguished professor at Welsey Theological Seminary, Mike McCurry, is moderating a panel of experts in the realm of religion and politics. Panelists include former Congressmen Lincoln Davis (D-TN, 2003-2011), Amo Houghton (R-NY, 1987-2005), and Frank Wolf (R-VA, 1981-2015), as well as “Religion Reporter of the Year” Michelle Boorstein from the Washington Post. Please join us Wednesday, June 17th at 2:30pm at the Congressional Meeting Room South of the Capitol Visitor Center. Please RSVP to Sharon Witiw, switiw@usafmc.org, or call 202-507-4847.
